I’ve been illustrating children’s books for over a decade, and one of my favorite books to illustrate was Cricket Goes on Vacation, a story about a special dog that gets lost and has to find her way back home.
This project was extra special because I got to learn so much about a real dog named Cricket, a sweet and happy girl with special needs. She’s nervous about most things, which reminded me a lot of my own dog.
The book contained over twenty spreads with an illustration on each one.
I used Procreate for the illustrations and assembled the book using Indesign. If you’re wondering how Cricket’s first vacation went, the book is available here.
